The secret to this impressive performance is a combination of high-end materials and careful design. Premium RDS 850+ Loft goose down, a low-profile #3 YKK zipper and 10D high performance nylon and 7D lining fabrics set the stage for superior performance. These materials are combined with a contoured mummy design for effective insulation. This mummy design is then modified for each model to best fit the usage scenario. The women’s specific fit is wider at the hip and narrower at the shoulder, and we added an extra layer at the bottom for added warmth. Our ULTRA-DRY Down ™ water repellent treatment protects the down from external moisture and condensation from inside the bag, virtually eliminating the negative effects of moisture on the down. All Sea to Summit Down sleeping bags are RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified. The ULTRADRY Down ™ protection also makes the Flame ™ an impressive mountaineer or adventurer’s race bag, where every gram is counted and down was never a viable option.
